At STAR, the team knew they needed a dedicated space where staff could gather, collaborate, and plan for the future. But halfway through their building project, unexpected changes forced a major shift in direction. That’s when The Valentine Foundation stepped in—not just with generosity, but with flexibility and understanding.
The Valentine Foundation’s generosity is matched only by their understanding and flexibility. We had a major redirect in our building plans that we needed to navigate. The folks at the Valentine Foundation assessed our new goals and ‘changed horses in the middle of the stream’ to support the adjusted initiative. Their gracious flexibility allowed us to build a space that now benefits the needs of our team and those we serve every week! We are ever so grateful for our new classroom and our friends at the Valentine Foundation.
Result
The results speak for themselves. Recently, STAR hosted a two-day All Staff Workshop in the new classroom—an energizing space where ideas flowed, walls filled with notes, and groups worked together to shape the future of their programs. “It was the perfect addition to our facility,” said Emily, a STAR team member. “It helped us think outside the box, move freely, and dream big.”
